There are 3 differing kinds of rowing machine, models that offer air resistance, hydraulic resistance or magnetic resistance. Air resistance is generally supplied with high quality rowing machines. How it works, is that the resistance is channelled by a finned flywheel sucking in air as the arm is being pulled back. Resistance adjustment appears liquid and without steps therefore the quicker you row the more resistance results. An advantage of the air rower is that it effectively simulates real rowing.

A hydraulic rower fails to simulate real rowing generally because it depends on by hand altered clamps. The movement isn't as liquid as the air rower but notwithstanding this a good workout is at last achieved.
And what about the water rowing machine? Certainly , that is real rowing isn't it, I hear you cry. There's another rowing machine recognised for deftly balancing its resistance with water, the WaterRower Club Rowing machine. The supplier of an efficient workout, it's a make of rower and not a particular kind of rower.
